About The Position

Work as an IT Security Compliance Analyst supporting the Test & Operations Support Contract at Kennedy Space Center. The primary function is maintaining NASA NIST 800-53 Security Plans. The role also involves implementing NIST controls, maintaining hardware and software inventories, preparing supporting documentation, and coordinating with system administrators to ensure systems are maintained in compliance with documented security plans. Deviations from NASA requirements require risk tracking or acceptance paperwork. Additional duties include using IT security tools to monitor and report vulnerability compliance, including BugFix and Bugzilla.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer or System Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or five years of experience in IT Security.
Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident/Green Card holder of the United States.
General understanding of computing, networking protocols, and vulnerability management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

IT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities
