About The Position

Lumafield is looking for an experienced IT & Security Administrator to support its day-to-day IT operations while helping strengthen its security and compliance programs. This role reports to the Head of Operations and will ensure employees have reliable, secure technology. The administrator will maintain endpoint and identity infrastructure, partner with Engineering and Security to strengthen the security posture, and help scale IT operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, streamlining processes, and making technology work better for everyone. The position involves balancing day-to-day IT support with longer-term improvements, automating manual work, strengthening security and compliance, and building scalable systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, endpoint management, or IT support
  • Experience supporting macOS, Windows, and Linux environments.
  • Experience administering enterprise SaaS platforms and endpoint management solutions.
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, networking (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless APs), authentication, and SaaS applications.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MDM platforms such as Kandji, Jamf, Iru, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Rippling, Vanta, SentinelOne, or similar IT and security platforms.
  • Experience with Docker, GitHub, OPNsense, UniFi, or Tailscale
  • Experience supporting Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Neat, and other workplace collaboration tools.
  • Experience supporting security or compliance programs such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, ITAR, or CMMC.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud infrastructure.
  • A portfolio, blog, GitHub repo, or other work samples we can review.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for employees across all Lumafield offices, troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and workplace technology issues for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of company devices, including procurement, provisioning, MDM enrollment, software deployment, inventory management, lifecycle replacement, and secure retirement.
  • Administer core IT and business systems including Google Workspace, Rippling, MDM platforms, and other SaaS applications.
  • Manage user identities, access requests, permissions, and lifecycle processes to ensure employees have secure, appropriate access to the tools they need.
  • Help maintain endpoint security, patch management, and security tooling, including platforms such as SentinelOne and Vanta.
  • Support compliance initiatives across frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ITAR by implementing technical controls, maintaining documentation, and collecting audit evidence.
  • Work across the full lifecycle of an enterprise server rack, from network management and switch configuration to building and deploying physical servers.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot AV and conference room tech, including Neat devices and other presentation equipment.
  • Continuously improve IT systems and processes by identifying opportunities to automate manual work, improve reliability, and enhance the employee experience.
