About The Position

The IT Quality Sr Analyst - Assistant Vice President will collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test strategies. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and reusable automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver in Java. The analyst will also design, write, and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases, perform various types of testing including functional, integration, system, and regression testing, and conduct exploratory testing. A key aspect of this role is implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks, executing automated tests, analyzing results, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, the analyst will perform API testing, database validation using SQL queries, and participate in code reviews of test automation scripts. The role requires providing clear reporting on test progress and product quality, and continuously researching new testing tools and methodologies to improve the QA process and overall software quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 to 9 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
• Proficient in designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or similar.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
• Design, write, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured manual test plans and test cases.
• Perform thorough manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues not covered by formal test cases.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in an agile environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with security testing concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance or test automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform database validation by writing and executing SQL queries to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, defect status, and overall product quality to stakeholders.
• Continuously research and implement new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
• Contribute to the improvement of overall software quality processes and practices within the team.
