About The Position

The IT QA Analyst III will lead the development and establishment of quality assurance standards, procedures, and measures for IT products and services. This role involves leading people involved in quality assurance delivered capabilities and applying analytical and problem-solving skills to validate IT processes and systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose and use to maximize business investment benefits. The position requires a strong understanding of information systems, integrated systems, IT system environments/platforms, and development tools, along with experience in manual and automated testing. The analyst will be responsible for developing and establishing quality assurance strategies, procedures, measures, and testing standards for new applications, products, and enhancements throughout their lifecycles. They will also lead the development of architectural review, change control, and problem management processes, conduct internal audits, and prepare reports and recommendations. Collaboration with software/systems personnel for various testing methods, analysis of technical specifications, and creation/execution of test plans are key functions. The role also includes testing new software for integration, analyzing test results for defects, making recommendations for improvements, and leading teams in quality assurance efforts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of information systems and an understanding of integrated systems.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, math, a related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 7 years in Information Technology quality assurance lead activities for complex, technology-based business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and establish quality assurance strategies, procedures, measures and testing standards based on the IT business model for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.
  • Utilize, cultivate, and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices from global standards such as IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Test Maturity Model integration (TMMi), or Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), or SCRUM using an AGILE framework.
  • Lead the development of architectural review, change control, and problem management processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for system development, application integration and information system performance, as well as corresponding documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and projects across the Enterprise.
  • Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, regression, automation, load and acceptance testing methods.
  • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of new applications under deployment or consideration to determine intended functionality.
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
  • Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.
  • Test new software to ensure its integration into Gulfstreams system meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications; analyzes test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
  • Make recommendations for applications improvements to programmers and application developers; communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
  • Lead team(s) of people with coordination of quality assurance efforts, test planning, test development, test execution, and test reporting activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
