About The Position

This role is for an IT Project Support Technician with a confidential Japanese IT Company, based in NYC/NJ/CT. The position is full-time, hybrid, with a salary of $70,000 annually. The technician will be responsible for IT asset management, including inventory, audits, disposal, and reporting, utilizing systems like ServiceNow and DCTrack. They will also provide on-site project support, including network cable patching, connectivity support, user desktop validation, hardware/software troubleshooting, network cabling organization, and IT equipment installation. A temporary assignment in sales support includes preparing client billing, creating service reports, coordinating resources, and providing administrative support.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience as a Field Technician, IT Support Technician, or similar technical support role.
  • Experience with IT hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices, service software, and standard computer applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking, cabling, and data center environments.
  • Ability to accurately document service activities and technical reports.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel locally/regionally and work flexible hours when needed.
  • Ability to work in customer sites, data centers, and other technical environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, climbing, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform IT asset inventory, audits, and disposal at client offices and data centers.
  • Coordinate IT asset management projects with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and maintain IT asset management reports.
  • Update asset management systems such as ServiceNow and DCTrack.
  • Perform network cable patching and connectivity support.
  • Validate user desktop equipment and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
  • Trace, label, and organize network cabling within IDF rooms.
  • Perform rack-and-stack installation of IT equipment.
  • Assist with various infrastructure deployment and migration projects.
  • Prepare client billing documentation.
  • Create monthly service reports.
  • Coordinate project resources and scheduling.
  • Provide administrative support to the sales and project teams.
