About The Position

Tripoint Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support an upcoming federal government contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, stakeholder communication, and IT delivery, with the ability to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks while ensuring successful outcomes. This role is located in Washington, D.C. (Candidates must reside in D.C., Virginia, or Maryland) and is a Hybrid position, requiring on-site work one day per week. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation, require USA Citizenship, and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing IT projects in a professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • USA Citizenship is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience working in a consulting or client-facing role within the professional services industry.
  • Advanced degree in a related field or relevant technical certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for IT initiatives.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and task delegation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively to minimize impact on deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure timely delivery of project components.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and implement continuous improvement practices.
