About The Position

Vista Global Solutions (VGS) is looking for a qualified Information Technology (IT) Project Manager to support our contract at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in Fayetteville, NC. We’re seeking an Information Technology Project Manager with an excellent working knowledge of current operations, systems, and policies used at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) or other government offices to provide day-to-day management and support to the WAMC.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field and a certification as a PMP or a PMI CAPM.
Minimum 10 years working experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
In-depth knowledge of DoD and Army reporting requirements, policies, and regulations pertaining to Information Assurance.
Working knowledge of ITIL and service management best practices.
Strong interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of WAMC Staff in a professional manner and with a professional demeanor.
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
U.S. citizenship or the ability to obtain citizenship and be able to pass a government background investigation.

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of assigned IT projects to determine appropriate products or services, coordinate and integrate project activities.
Serve as a team leader, make team assignments, coordinate work of the team, review completed work of the team members.
Determine appropriate products or services with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Develop, modify, and provide input to project plans, and implement project plans to meet objectives.
Coordinate and integrate project activities.
Manage, lead, or administer project resources.
Develops or implements information systems security plans and procedures.
Monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risk.
Implement or maintain quality control processes.
Make improvements, solve problems, or take corrective action when problems arise.
Give presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project.
Participate in phase, milestone, and final project reviews.
Identify project documentation requirements or procedures.
Develop and implement project release plans.
Identify customers’ information systems requirements; analyze information systems requirements or environment; design or conduct analytical studies, cost-benefit analysis, or other research.
Evaluate, monitor, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures.
Participate in change control (for example, reviewing configuration change requests).
Ensure appropriate product-related training and documentation are developed and made available to customers.
Develop business case analysis for assigned information technology projects, programs, or tasking.
Assess the state-of-the-art in the technology industry and make judgments regarding the impact on the operating environment.
Identify problems; determine the accuracy and relevance of information; use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations.
