About The Position

The IT Project Manager / Scrum Master is responsible for driving end-to-end delivery execution across IT and business initiatives, including data, technology, and operational projects. This role emphasizes Agile delivery, sprint execution, and team facilitation, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and deliverables are actively managed. The individual will serve as a Scrum Master for delivery teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, maintaining structured backlogs, and removing impediments to ensure consistent progress and delivery of value. Success in this role includes delivering projects on time, maintaining well-structured backlogs and sprint execution, enabling strong team coordination, proactively managing risks and blockers, and providing clear and consistent status reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • 5–8 years of progressive project management / Scrum Master experience
  • Experience managing IT, data, or technology-driven projects
  • Strong experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools
  • Experience coordinating across business and technical teams

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification preferred
  • PMP or equivalent certification a plus
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Scrum Master experience or certification (strongly preferred)
  • Strong execution mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of data flows, integrations, and system dependencies

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives)
  • Act as Scrum Master for delivery teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and practices
  • Manage small to mid-sized IT projects and workstreams, including timelines and dependencies
  • Maintain and manage work items in Azure DevOps or similar tools
  • Partner with stakeholders to break down requirements into user stories and tasks
  • Coordinate across business, development, QA and UAT teams
  • Identify and remove impediments impacting team progress
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Support project deployment and closure activities
  • Provide clear and consistent status updates
