Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in project management
  • 3+ years of experience as an IT project manager
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of project management principals as outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work nights or weekends on an as needed basis
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoW 8140 Work Role Code 802 – Intermediate level Certification within 3 months of hire date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project methodologies
  • Ability to use Microsoft VISIO and Microsoft Project software
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and manage personnel responsible for the organization's portfolio of projects and maintain efficiency of important project management aspects such as planning, scheduling, and budget and risk assessment.
  • Develop and execute project objectives by collaborating with the customer on needs and goals, project proposals, project plans, and intermediate execution status.
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
  • Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determine and maintain project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements, and maintaining project schedule.
  • Control project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, schedule changes, and recommending actions.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.
  • Be responsible for technical or operational leadership of a project or mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
  • Define, generate, and review project requirements documentation and perform technical studies to refine project requirements.
  • Monitor projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
