About The Position

The role of the IT Project Manager I (PM) is responsible for managing one or
more multiple Information Technology driven projects within the AMSURG IT
Department.  The PM will be responsible for managing executive stakeholders, key
project teams and drive projects to successful completion and transition to
operations. The PM will manage projects from inception (discovery, strategy and
planning) through successful completion (execution, transition and closeout).

• 0-2 years project management experience in an enterprise environment
• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University

Nice To Haves

• 0-2 years of prior experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
• PMI Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the initiation, coordination, and completion of multiple, parallel projects across business areas and departments.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Owns stakeholder management; responsible for setting customer expectations and leading efforts to sustain customer

• Conducts project post mortems and drives continuous improvement
• Develops best practices and tools for project execution and Leads efforts to standardize practices and consolidate tracking methods across all projects and provides meaningful contribution to the IT Project Management Office.
