About The Position

The IT Project Manager II coordinates, plans, supports, and executes enterprise-wide information technology and artificial intelligence initiatives. Provides strategic input for project planning, budget, scope, schedule, resource needs, and delivery approach. Manages the project management lifecycle from initiation through closure while applying predictive, Agile, and hybrid delivery methods appropriate to the work. Builds alignment among multidisciplinary clinical, operational, technical, data, security, compliance, and vendor stakeholders. The role supports responsible delivery and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities, including generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and enterprise AI platforms. The IT Project Manager II establishes delivery transparency, facilitates iterative planning, manages dependencies and risks, and confirms that project outcomes, governance requirements, and value measures remain aligned with organizational priorities. Please note, this position will require a twice/month onsite meeting with our AI organization, and potential ad hoc onsite stakeholder meeting requests.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.
3-5 years experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools required.
Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables: project charter, project plan, status reports, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget, schedule and milestone/deliverable charts.
Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
Proficiency with project management software tools such as Microsoft Project.
Demonstrated expertise in team building and leading teams.

Nice To Haves

Project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
Agile certification such as PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I or II), SAFe Agilist, or an equivalent credential.
Experience leading AI, machine learning, generative AI, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, data, analytics, cloud, or digital-transformation initiatives.
Experience supporting enterprise AI platforms or services such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Epic AI, Qualified Health, or comparable technologies.
Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, model or solution evaluation, privacy, security, compliance, monitoring, adoption, or value-realization activities.
Experience in healthcare, clinical operations, health information technology, or another highly regulated environment.
Experience managing suppliers, RFPs, statements of work, time-and-materials engagements, deliverable acceptance, and vendor performance.

Responsibilities

Applies industry-accepted methodologies (i.e., Project Management Institute [PMI]) to ensure adherence to project management standards and requirements and to provide stakeholders with continual reports on project progress and performance.
Influences, supports, and strategizes with project participants, leaders, and decision makers to ensure strategic and effective decision making occurs and mediates conflicts and works effectively with managing priorities.
Provides project management subject matter expertise (SME) to the department and mentors and supports Project Management Office (PMO) employees.
Performs project management research to improve and refine skills and to identify trends and best practices for improving PMO performance.
Meets with stakeholders to validate business cases and to gather facts for establishing and gaining agreement on project charters.
Consults with project sponsors to clarify project directives, scopes, deliverables, and timelines and to analyze risk.
Conducts bid sessions and/or vendor RFP efforts to select and manage suppliers and supplier payments.
Interacts with Enterprise-wide senior management to represent EHC IT's interests, understand customer requirements, validate assumptions and to ensure adherence to project methodology.
Applies PM tools and methodologies to ensure project milestones are achieved and scope is maintained.
Observes project team dynamics to ensure effective team member synergies and to resolve issues.
Creates progressive project milestones for facilitating smaller-scale achievements and to motivate the project team.
Utilizes PM tools to manage project timelines and accuracy, ensure project resource commitments are met, and to track activities and variances.
Closes project contracts to validate supplier statements of work (SOWs) and verify deliverables.
Determine project goals and priorities in consultation with Governance committees, CIO, EHC IS Managers and Directors, LITS Directors, Vendors or other key stakeholders.
Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action with stakeholders.
Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external customers to reassess and amend the scope of work requirement, budget, and/or timeline.
Manage relationships with project stakeholders, internal and external customers and vendors, keeping them informed of progress and issues to manage expectations on project requirements and deliverables.
Involve functional expertise and subject matter experts in design reviews and key decisions.
Manage change to preserve the commitments in the plan.
Establish and publish clear priorities among project activities.
