About The Position

14558 - IT Project Manager, Child Support Systems (remote with travel) – Pierre, SD Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% remote. Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration. Required: Experience with information technology project management; Experience with child support system modernization projects; Experience with child support program policies, procedures, and business practices; Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps); Experience with project management and project governance principles; PMP certification or equivalent working experience (required); Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Lead the design, development, and implementation of information system transformation projects; Provide strategic direction and assist with defining enterprise-level IT implementation strategies; Define business and technological requirements by consulting with product owners, subject matter experts, and scrum teams; Manage highly complex large-scale enterprise projects as well as smaller-scale projects; Lead and coordinate efforts of development teams and vendors to ensure successful solution implementation; Ensure project governance, monitoring controls, on-time delivery, and budget adherence; Mentor state personnel in project management practices and train resources to take over the function over time.
