About The Position

Join Butterball, America’s favorite turkey brand, for an exciting summer internship in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. This 10-12 week internship in Garner, NC, focuses on identifying technology-based improvement opportunities and managing the SAP project plan for implementation. The intern will work closely with a Senior Project Manager on new or existing projects. The program aims to grow future leaders through professional development and assignments aligned with interests in the processing and manufacturing industry.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2028 through June 2030.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
Comfortable with public speaking and able to initiate, lead, and follow through on conversations, presentations, and training.
Requires a balance of technical, analytical thinking as well as being personable and able to make connections to further implement change on an enterprise level.
Strong business acumen - ability to understand the impact of IT on different parts of the business.

Responsibilities

Maintain the integrated SAP project schedule by tracking milestones, identifying overdue activities and following up with workstream leads.
Prepare status reports, dashboards, meeting materials, and project updates covering schedule, scope, risks, issues, resources, and milestones.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, capture meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
Learn project management methodologies, SAP implementation practices, and how large IT projects are governed.
