About The Position

The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is seeking qualified individuals for the role of IT Programmer Senior Analyst. This is a regular full-time, exempt position with benefits. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with potential for weekend and nighttime work outside of normal hours. The Information Technology department values Team Chandler and is dedicated to driving innovation to provide extraordinary service. They harness cutting-edge technology and business automation tools to serve the community, coordinating computer technology across city departments for accurate and timely information. Responsibilities include managing technology investments and assets, providing technology services and support, consulting, business process analysis, and project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 4 years of recent experience in systems application analysis.
  • Highly complex technical documentation programming.
  • Acting as a lead system implementer on a project team delivering an enterprise solution.
  • Experience in web development (C#, ASP.Net, Angular, NodeJs preferred).
  • Experience with BASH/Linux, XML, JSON.
  • Database development (Progress, SQL, PL/SQL desired).
  • Experience with quality assurance practices, including test planning, defect management, and user acceptance testing.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience supporting and enhancing enterprise asset management systems, including asset management, work management, maintenance, inspections, service requests, and reporting.
  • Experience managing third party vendors, software implementations, system upgrades, and support contracts while ensuring project milestones and service expectations are met.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing effective long-term solutions.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including facilitating requirements gathering sessions, documenting business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into effective technology solutions.
