As an IT Program Manager, a typical day will include the following duties:

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with oversight of IT development teams.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical support and training to a broad client base, both technical and non-technical.
  • Demonstrated experience understanding emerging technical trends.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating between technical development teams and operational stakeholders to successfully deploy technology to the field.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems integration and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technical IT operations.
  • A candidate must be a US Citizen and requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with mobile communications infrastructure and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
  • Track program progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements and provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge.
  • Develop project talking or briefing points in support of communication requirements for a program with a community-wide client base.
  • Collaborate with other operational teams to achieve Customer objectives.
  • Brief customers on program status and technical solutions.
  • Infuse Program Management best practices into Customer programs.
