About The Position

Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is a nationwide team providing jobs for people with significant disabilities, including our war-wounded veterans. Since its establishment in 1986, GCE has helped match team members to fulfilling careers, from custodial services to facilities maintenance and food services, plus other business lines in between. Working with customers from the U.S. military, commercial business and community partners – as well as federal, state and local governments – GCE is one of the country’s largest private employers of persons with disabilities. The Professional Development Trainer (PDT) is responsible for delivering employment readiness training and instruction to abilIT program participants. This role follows established lesson plans and utilizes an assigned curriculum to provide engaging, effective, and consistent instruction. The PDT is also responsible for maintaining high levels of satisfaction among clients and referral partners while representing GCE with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, communications, marketing, education, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a related field.
• Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with the vocational implications of various disabling conditions.
• Skilled in curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under corporate policy.
