As an IT Product Analyst, you will leverage your business and technical expertise to support implementing features that align to the IT product strategy. This posting is for positions on the Commercial Lines Policy Administration team and on the Digital team and can be filled as an IT Business Analyst or an IT Product Analyst based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. As an Analyst on our Digital team, you will leverage your business and technical expertise to define and build apps and websites that focus on providing an outstanding user experience for our 401k and Commercial Lines customers and agents. As an Analyst on our Commercial Lines Policy Administration team, you will apply your business and technical expertise to analyze, design, and enhance the core systems that support the entire lifecycle of commercial insurance policies, from quoting and issuance to endorsements and renewals. For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis or related discipline preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage product requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business process, insurance products, and customer needs preferred.
  • Proven ability to cultivate respectful relationships with business partners and team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify process improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the effort to gather and document comprehensive business requirements and feature acceptance criteria, particularly for features involving dependencies external to your team.
  • Lead discussions with customers to propose and implement features that are in line with the overarching product strategy, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills through clear and concise written communication and engaging presentations, facilitating effective dissemination of information across stakeholders.
  • Identify and proactively addresses change management requirements in collaboration with business partners, ensuring smooth transitions during project implementation.
  • Uphold quality standards by adhering to established testing best practices and expectations while identifying gaps and implementing modifications that drive continuous quality improvement.
