About The Position

Agropur is seeking an IT Operations Technician for plant production IT support in Lake Norden, SD. This role is crucial for maintaining 100% uptime of local IT operations and minimizing the impact of downtime incidents caused by IT failures. The IT Plant Support will be a member of the IT USA group and is expected to take ownership of challenges and act within a clear framework. Requirements

Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience as a technical advisor required.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is an asset
Experience in a plant/manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Keep local IT operations at 100% uptime and prevent and minimize the impact of downtime incidents caused by IT failures as a member of the IT USA group.
Maintain infrastructure, including preventive maintenance and cleaning MDFs/IDFs
Maintain up-to-date inventory records for all local IT assets
Work in partnership with local Automation (OT) team.
Build and maintain strong synergy between IT and OT
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software
Isolate, reproduce and analyze a wide range of complex technical issues and drive their resolution, either directly or through escalation depending on urgency and complexity.
Resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner to eliminate downtime and prevent cost overruns
Support local and global IT projects.
Communicate effectively with supervisor and plant operational leaders.
