IT/OT Project Manager - Energy Providers
About The Position
Guidehouse is seeking an IT/OT Project Manager to provide PMO support to utility and energy provider clients on technology implementation projects. This role involves supporting project planning, tracking, reporting, and governance activities across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate will assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, RAID logs, action items, and status reports. This position requires partnering with project managers, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive execution and issue resolution, monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and facilitate mitigation planning and escalation. The role also supports process improvement efforts to strengthen PMO practices, project controls, and delivery consistency, while contributing to clear and effective communication across internal teams and external client stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to nature of client engagement.
- High school diploma AND Nine (9+) plus years of post-graduation work experience; Or Associate's degree AND Seven (7+) plus years of post-graduation work experience; Or Bachelor’s degree AND Five (5+) plus years of post-graduation work experience.
- Total years of experience MUST include Four (4+) plus years project management, PMO, or project controls experience in the Utilities or Energy sector.
- Experience supporting technology implementation projects, preferably in the utility, energy, or other regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of PMO methodologies, project governance, and project lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated experience with project planning, scheduling, status reporting, issue/risk tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced client environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote and distributed teams.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to candidate that reside within 50 miles of a Guidehouse Office.
- Paid professional experience with enterprise applications, such as GIS, AMI, WM, CIS, or other large-scale implementation efforts.
- Professional certification, such as PMP, CAPM, or similar.
- Experience with project management tools, such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms.

- Partner with project managers, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive execution and issue resolution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and help facilitate mitigation planning and escalation, as needed.
- Support process improvement efforts to strengthen PMO practices, project controls, and delivery consistency.
- Contribute to clear and effective communication across internal teams and external client stakeholders.
