About The Position

Victor Energy Ltd., a powerline contractor with over 20 years of experience and owned by Java Holdings Ltd., is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst. This role will be the primary support contact for both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments across geographically distributed sites. The position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, security, and performance of infrastructure systems supporting corporate IT services and industrial/operational systems. The successful candidate will act as a hands-on technical resource, serving as the escalation point for infrastructure issues, coordinating on-site support, and partnering with central IT teams, vendors, and site operations personnel. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate independently in remote and field-based environments. The primary location is the Spokane, WA area, with a remote/work-from-home arrangement. Mandatory travel to operational sites in Washington State, Northern Idaho, North Carolina, and California is required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and/or Linux environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Experience supporting or working alongside Operational Technology (OT) or industrial systems
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layer infrastructure issues
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work independently at remote sites
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by air and ground as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or field-based environments
  • Knowledge of IT/OT network segmentation and security models
  • Familiarity with industrial protocols and systems (advantageous but not required)
  • Experience working with managed service providers and telecom vendors
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, Security+, VMware, Microsoft)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for IT and OT infrastructure support across assigned sites
  • Support and troubleshoot infrastructure components including servers (physical and virtual), network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless), end-user connectivity and site communications, and OT network segments and industrial system connectivity
  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for incidents impacting production, safety, or business operations
  • Support OT-related infrastructure in coordination with operations, engineering, and vendors
  • Assist with network segmentation, access control, and secure connectivity between IT and OT environments
  • Ensure OT systems remain stable, secure, and compliant with organizational standards
  • Participate in OT deployments, upgrades, and site expansions
  • Support the networking requirements for industrial control systems (SCADA, PLCs, and IoT sensors) to ensure seamless data flow between the plant floor and corporate servers
  • Travel regularly to remote sites to perform installations and upgrades, infrastructure assessments, root-cause analysis and remediation, and new site bring-ups and network expansions
  • Serve as the technical liaison between site personnel and centralized IT teams
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories
  • Participate in infrastructure projects including network refreshes, server and storage deployments, cloud and hybrid integration initiatives, and OT modernization efforts
  • Work with vendors and service providers for implementation and support activities
  • Ensure solutions align with security, performance, and scalability standards
  • Apply IT and OT security best practices, including network segmentation, access controls, and patch and vulnerability management
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and incident response activities related to infrastructure and OT systems
