About The Position

Operate office systems at site in compliance with applicable ITSM processes, standards and IT guidelines. This role involves collaboration, implementation, and potentially operation in the on-site IT, based on valid guidelines and processes. Activities include integrating new hardware components into the infrastructure, building new infrastructure systems according to specifications and guidelines, and advising and instructing colleagues in solving complex inquiries in the area of office IT. The position also requires supervising and monitoring IT infrastructure in first-level support, tracking local IT jobs and tasks, analyzing and clarifying problems with internal and external partners, and creating and providing solutions for complex problems in the knowledge management database. The role processes IT service requests and IT incidents in 2nd level support at the respective site and provides service to office systems using remote access or on-site support. Additionally, it involves conducting work packages in IT service requests and IT or carline projects on-site, and assisting in the development and secure maintenance of hardware and software asset management.

Requirements

  • Basic technical knowledge of hardware and network engineering, troubleshooting and replacements.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 2 years of previous IT support preferred.
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science desired.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate new hardware components in the infrastructure.
  • Build new infrastructure systems according to specifications and guidelines.
  • Advise and instruct colleagues in solving complex inquiries in the area of office IT.
  • Supervise and monitor IT infrastructure in the first level support (e.g., by restarting servers, hardware failures).
  • Track local IT jobs and tasks and mark detected deviations.
  • Analyze and clarify problems with internal and external partners (e.g., act as contact person and clarify technical issues related to PC-controlled machines with the manufacturers).
  • Create and provide solutions for complex problems in the knowledge management database, according to predetermined guidelines.
  • Process IT service requests and IT incidents in 2nd level support at the respective site in compliance with applicable ITSM processes, standards and IT guidelines.
  • Service office systems by using remote access or by providing on-site support (e.g., solve incidents on laptops and office machines, maintain and exchange infrastructure components).
  • Conduct work packages in the IT service requests and IT or carline projects on-site.
  • Assist in development and secure maintaining the hardware and software asset management.
