About The Position

The IT Operations Support Technician provides Level 1 technical support and executes routine, repeatable IT tasks under the direction of the IT Systems Administrator. This role focuses on day-to-day user support, device setup and troubleshooting, access management, and maintaining accurate IT documentation and asset records.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate when appropriate.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple requests.
  • Prior helpdesk, IT support, or internship experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, PowerShell, Procore, Ramp, SharePoint, Teams, and SaaS platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Part 107 drone certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Identity & Access Management - Manage user access throughout the employee lifecycle by creating and removing accounts, assigning roles and licenses, resolving login and MFA issues, performing basic access audits, following onboarding/offboarding checklists, and escalating recurring issues.
  • Endpoint & Device Support - Provide end-to-end support for company devices by provisioning, deploying, troubleshooting, enforcing compliance, and managing replacements for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and jobsite security units.
  • Application & SaaS Support - Provision, manage, and support access to business applications by resolving basic errors, validating deployments, assisting with access issues, and handling SharePoint archive file movement per documented processes.
  • Helpdesk & User Support - Serve as the first point of contact for IT support by triaging and resolving tickets, providing walk‑up and remote assistance, supporting Teams Rooms, printers, and job setup tasks, and escalating complex issues with clear documentation.
  • Asset & Inventory Management - Maintain accurate IT asset inventory by tracking hardware assignments, coordinating shipping and recovery, and supporting audits, lifecycle management, and budgeting activities.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management - Create, maintain, and update internal IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and user-friendly guides to support common tasks and onboarding.
  • Training & User Enablement - Support IT onboarding and user enablement by helping employees use company tools effectively and reinforcing security and technology best practices during daily support interactions.
  • Miscellaneous Support - Setting up new employee workstations, assisting with drone photography/video, and editing Build U videos & uploading to Talent LMS.
