About The Position

We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to join our Operations team in San Diego, CA. This internship is designed as a hands-on learning experience where you will develop practical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to support corporate networking, identity management, and employee access. You will work directly with our modern cloud IT stack, participate in dedicated information security training, and help manage our growing fleet of corporate and IoT devices.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline (or equivalent boot camp/certification experience).
  • Fundamental understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
  • Basic familiarity with cloud productivity suites (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365).
  • Strong analytical mindset with a genuine curiosity for troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach to helping users.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on setup or administration experience with Ubiquiti (UniFi) networking gear or access hubs.
  • Prior exposure to Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms or endpoint protection software.
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).

Responsibilities

  • Administer users, security groups, and application access using Okta and Google Workspace. Handle onboarding and offboarding workflows.
  • Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 employee helpdesk tickets related to system access, cloud services, and general network connectivity.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain office IoT endpoints, including conference room A/V hardware, digital signage displays, and other connected workplace devices.
  • Complete guided training modules on our core security stack, applying your knowledge to monitor and secure endpoints using Hexnode (MDM), CrowdStrike (EDR), and Google SecOps.
  • Assist in the administration and troubleshooting of our Ubiquiti network infrastructure and physical badge access control systems.
