About The Position

The IT Operations Project Manager ensures the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects across computer infrastructure, cloud, and database domains. This role requires a strong command of both Agile Scrum and traditional (Waterfall) project management methodologies, with a heavy emphasis on JIRA as the primary tool for project tracking, sprint management, and reporting. The IT Operations Project Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion on time, within scope, and within budget.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
At least 3 years of project management experience with a focus on technology projects, including infrastructure, cloud, and/or database initiatives.
Demonstrated proficiency in Agile Scrum methodology, including experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
Strong working knowledge of traditional project management frameworks (Waterfall, PMBOK).
Advanced proficiency in JIRA, including board configuration, backlog grooming, sprint management, reporting, and workflow customization.
Familiarity with computer infrastructure concepts such as networking, servers, and data centers.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud migration or deployment projects.
General understanding of database environments and database-related project considerations.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced technology environment.
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills relative to project blockers and team impediments.
Willingness to work as a team and independently.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Leading end-to-end project management for infrastructure, cloud, and database initiatives, from initiation through closure.
Facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Applying traditional project management techniques such as project charter development, work breakdown structures (WBS), Gantt scheduling, and risk management planning where appropriate.
Managing and maintaining JIRA project boards, backlogs, epics, stories, and sprint configurations to ensure accurate real-time project visibility.
Collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, and database teams to define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
Identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as necessary to leadership.
Coordinating resource planning and task assignments across technical teams to ensure adequate capacity and delivery timelines.
Producing and distributing regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to stakeholders.
Supporting change management processes related to technology deployments, including communication planning and stakeholder alignment.
Ensuring project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Travel to EVV twice a year
