About The Position

The Jr. Administrator, IT Network is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting AltaMed’s growing network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and monitoring systems. The role also involves racking and cabling equipment and assisting other teams, including Systems, Security, Clinical Applications, and Data Engineering.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of working knowledge of deploying and maintaining IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network protocols.
• Adept at using packet capture and troubleshooting tools.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Cisco networking certifications, such as CCNA.
• Knowledge of routing and switching to implement and maintain network solutions; Cisco technologies are preferred.
• Experience with wireless technologies.
• Knowledge and experience with network security architectures, such as firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and IDS/IPS.
• Experience in virtualization and cloud systems.
• Experience supporting solutions with high availability and real-time monitoring.
