About The Position

As an IT Network Admin at LJA in our IT department, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, documenting, and monitoring network systems and services under general supervision.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in IT, specializing in network infrastructure or server infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, SD-WAN router hardware
  • Familiarity with HPE Aruba AOS/CX switch hardware, Aruba and Juniper hardware
  • Prior experience in medium to large WAN/LAN environments
  • Experience supporting Windows Server operating systems and hardware is advantageous
  • Ability to sit for extended periods working on a computer
  • Occasional lifting or pulling of 35-80 pounds
  • Comfortable climbing and working from ladders

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Aruba ClearPass is a plus
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PCNSA, CompTIA Network+, and CCNA are desirable

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively in a team environment to administer and set up local and remote network equipment, including routers, firewalls, switches, access points, and servers
  • Monitoring network equipment and systems performance, ensuring optimal Wi-Fi coverage
  • Providing escalated support for networking issues and troubleshoot problems effectively
  • Performing hands-on installation of equipment and conduct necessary break/fix tasks as required
  • Traveling to remote sites occasionally for onsite support or equipment setup
  • Participating in after-hours work as needed, schedule on call rotation as well as the scheduled monthly maintenance work
