About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, due diligence, and strategic planning related to acquisitions. You will play a critical role in evaluating, executing, and integrating technology assets to support our company’s growth and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in IT M&A with a proven track record of driving IT transformation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in leading IT-focused M&A projects with experience in at least two of the following: system integration, platform migration, IT architecture modernization, or regulatory technology implementation.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following: post-merger IT integration, carve-out separation, process reengineering, divesture, or IT risk and compliance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support M&A efforts.
  • Self-starter.
  • 100% in office requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of Information Technology (IT) opportunities and risks in the context of M&A, including integration and separation of platforms, systems, and technology.
  • Develop actionable plans and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Recommend performance requirements for complex organizational IT architectures, encompassing front-to-back office systems, and formulate strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct IT due diligence by evaluating target company systems, identifying risks, estimating costs, and support deal teams with IT cost modeling and synergy analysis.
  • Assist with remediation activities post-transaction if needed.
  • Review cybersecurity posture, risk assessments, and compliance readiness, providing clear findings to deal teams and supporting follow-up remediation efforts.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all IT-related needs of sister companies associated with York Space Systems.
  • Function as project manager for initiatives involving scaling, enhancing, or upgrading IT systems to meet evolving corporate objectives.
  • Support the outsourcing of high-cost IT functions domestically, facilitate the renegotiation of key vendor contracts (e.g., ERP platforms, cloud services), and identify opportunities to strengthen IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
