About The Position

The IT Manager owns the company's IT environment end-to-end, including devices, security, office networking and Wi-Fi, and compliance. This is a hands-on, independent role serving as the primary technical resource for company-wide IT issues. The role manages device fleets, endpoint security, network infrastructure, employee access, hardware assets, and help desk support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration, including at least 1 year as the primary IT owner at a company.
• Hands-on experience with an identity provider such as JumpCloud, Okta, or Entra ID, and with Google Workspace administration.
• Experience with MDM for macOS and Windows.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing business Wi-Fi and networks.
• A security-first mindset, including least-privilege access, MFA, and disciplined patching.
• Clear communication with non-technical coworkers.
• Ability to work independently without an existing IT team.

Nice To Haves

• SOC 2 audit experience, especially with Vanta.
• A degree or certification in IT, networking, or security, such as CompTIA, Apple, or Jamf.
• Experience at a startup or high-growth company.

Responsibilities

• Manage Mac and Windows devices using Apple Business Manager and JumpCloud MDM.
• Maintain endpoint security and respond to alerts.
• Own office networking and Wi-Fi, including configuring access points, firewalls, and switches; monitoring performance; troubleshooting connectivity; and managing ISP and vendor relationships.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding, ensuring access is granted according to role on the first day and fully revoked upon exit.
• Track hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to secure disposal.
• Provide help desk support to employees and document fixes to prevent recurring issues.
