BisnowNew York City, NY

About The Position

We’re looking for a full-time IT Manager to own and elevate all core IT operations across Bisnow, Biscred and SelectLeaders, from laptop provisioning and access management to onboarding and offboarding. With a strong foundation in tools like Okta, Google Workspace, and Jamf Pro, this person will not only ensure seamless day-to-day operations but also serve as the key escalation point and strategic driver of IT initiatives. This is a highly autonomous role with real ownership, ideal for someone who thrives in building systems, solving complex problems, and shaping the infrastructure of a growing, interconnected business. As part of the Axel Springer portfolio, Bisnow and Morning Brew are entering an exciting phase of growth and integration bringing together two high-performing media brands with distinct audiences and shared ambitions. This role sits at the center of that evolution.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 1–2 years in an IT management or lead role.
  • Hands-on experience managing macOS device fleets using Jamf Pro, including policy management, Smart Groups, and automated enrollment.
  • Proficiency administering Google Workspace, including user provisioning, security settings, shared drives, and app integrations.
  • Experience managing Okta, including SSO application integrations, lifecycle management, MFA policies, and group rules.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, VLANs).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing cybersecurity controls and policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Google Workspace Administrator, Jamf Certified Associate/Tech, or Okta Certified Administrator (or in progress).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure) and SaaS security configuration.
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice).
  • Experience in a fast-growing startup or media/technology company environment.
  • Knowledge of SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement of hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals) and software licenses.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset inventory and enforce lifecycle policies including refresh cycles and equipment retirement.
  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and optimize spend while ensuring hardware meets performance requirements.
  • Coordinate device onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees, leveraging Jamf for automated provisioning and configuration.
  • Serve as the escalation point for IT support issues, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
  • Maintain and improve the IT helpdesk ticketing system, SLA targets, and support documentation.
  • Administer core business systems including Google Workspace, Okta SSO, and collaboration tools; manage user lifecycle, groups, and application integrations.
  • Develop and maintain runbooks and knowledge base articles to enable self-service and reduce ticket volume.
  • Support and coordinate IT needs for new hire onboarding and employee offboarding.
  • Execute and maintain cybersecurity processes across endpoint protection, encryption, access control, and MFA via Okta — following established frameworks such as CIS Controls and escalating issues to leadership as needed.
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and ensure patch management processes are completed on schedule; surface findings and risks to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and deliver employee security awareness training and phishing simulation programs.
  • Document and respond to security incidents; escalate to leadership or MSSPs as appropriate and participate in root-cause analysis.
  • Support compliance activities for relevant regulatory and industry frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) by maintaining documentation and completing assigned process steps.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with cybersecurity vendors and managed security service providers (MSSPs).
  • Contribute to annual IT budget planning by providing accurate data on user counts, license usage, and hardware needs; partner with Finance and HR on cost estimations for future planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and tooling.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand technology needs and translate them into actionable IT initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
