About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead and support the day-to-day technology operations of a growing, multi-location organization. This role combines strategic IT leadership with technical execution, ensuring our infrastructure, systems, and users are supported effectively while helping modernize and scale our technology environment. The IT Manager will oversee core IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, cybersecurity, and end-user support. This is a player-coach role — you will guide IT direction while remaining actively involved in technical problem solving and operational support. This position reports to the VP of Supply Chain & Technology and plays a key role in supporting business growth, operational efficiency, and system reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 administration, networking and firewall management, and endpoint/device management
  • Experience supporting both infrastructure and end users in a business environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with SQL Server or database administration
  • Exposure to operational or supply-chain focused businesses
  • Experience supporting remote desktop or virtualized environments
  • Experience with automation, scripting, or process improvement tools
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, firewalls, servers, and cloud environments
  • Oversee Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, endpoint management, and user identity systems
  • Ensure system uptime, performance, and reliability across all locations
  • Monitor and improve cybersecurity posture and access controls
  • Maintain backups, disaster recovery processes, and system documentation
  • Partner with leadership to align IT initiatives with business goals
  • Evaluate and recommend infrastructure improvements and technology solutions
  • Support modernization efforts including cloud adoption, automation, and system integration
  • Assist with vendor management and technology procurement
  • Assist with basic data collection and reporting from trials and experiments
  • Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding, permissions, and endpoint configuration
  • Support business-critical applications and operational platforms
  • Troubleshoot networking, connectivity, and infrastructure issues
  • Work closely with IT Systems Administrators and business stakeholders
  • Help establish IT standards, processes, and best practices
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the IT team
  • Coordinate with vendors and external support partners when needed
  • Maintain secure network and system configurations
  • Monitor vulnerabilities and implement patches or remediation
  • Support cybersecurity awareness and best practices across the organization
