About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager who can run day-to-day IT operations across a multi-warehouse logistics environment while bringing structure, accountability, and ownership to the department. This is not a “delegate everything” role. You will be expected to lead, build, and execute—from troubleshooting production issues to managing vendors and driving system improvements. If you’ve spent your career in highly structured enterprise IT without getting your hands dirty, this role will not be a fit.

Requirements

  • Hands-on IT Manager experience
  • Experience running day-to-day IT operations in a multi-warehouse logistics environment
  • Ability to bring structure, accountability, and ownership to the department
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues
  • Experience managing vendors
  • Experience driving system improvements
  • Experience with warehouse systems and business-critical tech
  • Experience with WMS platforms (e.g., Infios E3PL / Accellos)
  • Experience managing EDI workflows
  • Experience ensuring uptime and performance across warehouse operations
  • Experience overseeing on-prem VM environments (Nutanix)
  • Experience managing networking stacks (Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, Cato Networks)
  • Experience maintaining Active Directory and core systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot critical issues end-to-end
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL across SQL Server, Oracle, Progress OpenEdge
  • Experience supporting reporting tools: SSRS, Power BI, Crystal Reports
  • Experience with vendor and project management
  • Experience leading system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
  • Experience with IT budgeting and cost control
  • Experience identifying opportunities to improve systems, reduce cost, and increase efficiency
  • Experience partnering with leadership to align IT with business goals
  • Warehouse/logistics or operational IT experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a small team (3–5 generalist IT staff)
  • Establish structure, priorities, and accountability
  • Move the team from reactive firefighting to proactive operations
  • Support and optimize WMS platforms (e.g., Infios E3PL / Accellos)
  • Manage EDI workflows via Ramp Systems EDI and 1EDI HQ
  • Ensure uptime and performance across warehouse operations
  • Oversee on-prem VM environment (Nutanix)
  • Manage networking stack (Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, Cato Networks)
  • Maintain Active Directory and core systems
  • Troubleshoot critical issues end-to-end (not just escalate)
  • Write and optimize SQL across: SQL Server, Oracle, Progress OpenEdge
  • Support reporting tools: SSRS, Power BI, Crystal Reports
  • Hold vendors accountable for deliverables and timelines
  • Lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
  • Eliminate “black box” dependencies where possible
  • Own IT budgeting and cost control
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, reduce cost, and increase efficiency
  • Partner with leadership to align IT with business goals
