About The Position

We are seeking a capable, self-sufficient IT Manager to build and own the entire technology infrastructure function from the ground up. We are at the forefront of innovation, crafting exclusive motion control components that propel the industrial, aerospace, and defense sectors into the future. We have great benefits, are well funded and already generating revenue, and are moving into a much larger facility in Hawthorne, CA this summer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT experience, with at least 2 years managing enterprise Microsoft environments in a regulated or defense-adjacent setting.
  • Direct experience administering a GCC High tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and associated compliance and data governance features.
  • Strong proficiency in identity and access management, Conditional Access, and role-based access control.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune or equivalent MDM/UEM platforms.
  • Working knowledge of CMMC Level 2 requirements and the controls that map to a Microsoft GCC High environment.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, and DNS/DHCP in a small-to-mid enterprise context.
  • A builder's mindset — you are comfortable being the only IT person in the room, figuring things out, and standing up infrastructure that didn't exist before.
  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certifications (MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300) or CompTIA Security+, particularly in a DoD 8570/8140 context.
  • Familiarity with ITAR-controlled environments and the IT controls required to protect export-controlled technical data.
  • Experience supporting ERP or PLM platforms in a manufacturing environment (NetSuite, Arena, or similar).
  • Prior experience managing IT infrastructure across more than one physical facility.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for M365 administration, reporting, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day administration of core enterprise systems including identity management, endpoint management, networking, and cloud infrastructure — ensuring high availability and security across all facilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound IT requests from staff across Torrance and Saginaw; triage, prioritize, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for our Microsoft 365 GCC High tenant — coordinating configuration changes, managing licensed services, and ensuring the environment remains compliant with DoD and CMMC requirements.
  • Administer Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), manage user provisioning and de-provisioning, enforce MFA and Conditional Access policies, and maintain least-privilege access controls across all systems.
  • Deploy and manage endpoints via Microsoft Intune; maintain consistent device configuration, patching cadence, and compliance policies across the organization.
  • Manage on-site networking infrastructure (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN) across the Torrance facility, with coordination support for the Saginaw manufacturing floor.
  • Support CMMC Level 2 compliance efforts, including maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs), coordinating vulnerability remediation, and enforcing IT security policies aligned with NIST SP 800-171.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage external IT vendors and managed service providers where needed; own vendor relationships and hold partners accountable to SLAs.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, runbooks, asset inventories, and network diagrams appropriate for a defense-adjacent organization with controlled unclassified information (CUI) handling requirements.
