COMPENSATION $113,300 - $147,290 annual salary + a generous benefits package to include medical, dental, vision and 10% employer paid 401A through VOYA Financial. Hiring Salary Range: $113,300 - $130,295 annual salary (starting salary will be within this range based upon qualifications) SUMMARY An employee of this class directs and manages information technology activities at the Ontario International Airport (ONT). Incumbents in this classification report directly to the Chief Information Officer. The Information Technology Manager is responsible for applications implementation and support, system architecture and design, infrastructure maintenance, and cyber security.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible information technology experience and three years of experience in the management and/or supervision of IT and personnel.
  • Valid Driver’s License equivalent to a California Class C driver’s license
  • Acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout employment
  • Ability to pass all background / reference checks, knowledge examinations, as well as aptitude tests necessary to obtain an OIAA employee badge at ONT
  • Finger dexterity to utilize a keyboard to input information on a computer
  • Ability to lift and carry files and other media weighing up to fifty (50) pounds up to a distance of approximately 20 feet
  • Ability to access areas owned or leased by OIAA
  • Knowledge of computer hardware architecture and principles
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP network architecture, software and hardware
  • Knowledge of all Windows operating systems, and a variety of programs
  • Ability to coordinate, implement, and prioritize complex projects while meeting schedules and timelines within budget
  • Ability to prioritize responses to problems given system and user impacts
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and creativity in making decisions
  • Ability to lead and mentor assigned staff
  • Possesses excellent technical and communication skills; communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and establish strong working relationships with key partners as demonstrated by the level of two-way communication and feedback

Nice To Haves

  • Current knowledge of aviation business and management practices, and experience with Workday and Amadeus are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and implements a technical vision for ONT.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements for technology needs, evaluates current technologies, and decides when new implementation is appropriate.
  • Analyzes and improves upon technology standards and maintains organizational awareness of new technologies.
  • Sets policies to ensure privacy and security of ONT data and data facilities.
  • Manages critical business applications, e.g. Workday ERP and Amadeus.
  • Oversees and/or participates in project management for both new system implementations and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Prioritizes information technology resources based on ONT needs.
  • Assists with complex situations while providing technical expertise.
  • Monitors and maintains technology to ensure maximum access by troubleshooting technology issues.
  • Develops and monitors accurate operational budgets, procurement, and contracting activities to include lifecycle planning for technology requirements; ensures prudent financial responsibility.
  • Establish technical standards for hardware and software that ensure quality, functionality, connectivity, and compatibility.
  • Establishes standards and manages ONT data and telephone services for ONT and selected tenants.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains applications systems, ONT networks, and centralized telephone systems.
  • Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the work of subordinate employees.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate with and update employees on objectives and pending issues.
  • Does related work as required.
  • May occasionally be assigned to other duties for training purposes, technological changes or deficiencies or for emergency response.
  • Attends various meetings in remote administrative offices as well as airport terminals in support of various IT projects and tasks.
