About The Position

Fitzemeyer & Tocci (F&T) is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead our internal technology environment and accelerate adoption of emerging tools—including Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled capabilities—across the firm. This role blends day-to-day IT ownership with strategic technology enablement, supporting a high-performing, hybrid engineering and consulting workforce. You will serve as the primary IT resource for the firm—ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and scalable—while partnering with leadership to implement practical, business-focused technology solutions. A key focus will be enabling responsible AI across the organization by establishing guardrails for data access and confidentiality, piloting high-value AI use cases, supporting user training and change management, and measuring impact to continually improve how teams work.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of progressive IT experience, ideally in a Microsoft 365 environment
  • Strong experience with endpoints, identity management, and IT operations
  • Proven ability to roll out new technology and drive adoption
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work directly with both technical and non-technical teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a professional services or small-to-mid-sized business environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools
  • Experience establishing responsible AI practices, including data classification/labeling, access controls, and information protection to enable secure AI use
  • Background supporting engineering, consulting, or product-focused teams

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day IT across a Microsoft 365 environment (Entra ID, endpoints, devices, vendors)
  • Support onboarding/offboarding, hardware lifecycle, licensing, and user access
  • Ensure systems are stable, secure, and responsive across office locations
  • Drive deployment, governance, and firm-wide adoption of Microsoft Copilot and related M365 AI capabilities
  • Establish responsible AI guardrails for data security, access, confidentiality, and cost management
  • Identify, pilot, and scale practical AI use cases (e.g., project documentation, knowledge discovery, and workflow automation) in partnership with engineering, project, and operations teams
  • Deliver training, communications, and change management to drive sustained adoption and measurable outcomes
  • Coordinate internal IT support for AI-MEP while maintaining proper system separation and controls
  • Partner with leadership to scale technology alongside firm growth
  • Manage identity, permissions, and endpoint security
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems, workflows, and user experience
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on technology risk and opportunity
