About The Position

Rhoda AI is seeking an IT Manager to lead its IT operations, with full responsibility for corporate infrastructure, identity management, endpoint security, and overall security posture. This role requires a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution, involving setting the long-term direction for the IT function while actively participating in daily operations. The IT Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the company's IT infrastructure supports its rapid growth, compliance requirements, and research and development efforts in generalist robotics.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in IT and infrastructure, including direct ownership of a function at a venture-backed or growth-stage company.
  • Hands-on networking expertise; able to independently design and operate enterprise networks (firewall configuration, VLAN architecture, wireless design) across multiple vendor platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience complying with an information security program against a recognized framework such as TISAX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST CSF, including audit and certification cycles.
  • Strong Google Workspace administration experience: SSO, SCIM, context-aware access, security center, audit logging.
  • Endpoint management experience (Kandji, Jamf, Intune, or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write executive-level summaries and policy documents.
  • Track record of operating as a senior leader, including managing vendors, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scaling IT and security functions through rapid company growth.
  • Experience in robotics, hardware, or laboratory environments where network and infrastructure requirements extend beyond standard office IT.
  • Experience supporting compliance or certification programs from the IT side, such as TISAX, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or IEC 62443.
  • Direct experience with TISAX or in the automotive supply chain.
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices and source control security.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, and Stanford’s Advanced Cybersecurity Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Own corporate network design and operation across all Rhoda facilities, including VLAN segmentation, firewall configuration, and wireless architecture.
  • Maintain proper network segmentation between corporate, lab, guest, IoT, and dev environments.
  • Own remote access architecture, ensuring it meets access control, logging, and auditability requirements for compliance reviews.
  • Own administration of AV systems, including account management, monitoring, firmware, and incident response.
  • Manage strategic networking and infrastructure vendors.
  • Support and be accountable for IT-related aspects of Rhoda's information security program, including policy, standards, controls, and audit readiness.
  • Implement and maintain IT controls required for compliance programs (TISAX and others).
  • Own evidence collection, control documentation, and remediation for IT-scoped findings.
  • Operationalize policies covering access control, credential management, device security, acceptable use, incident response, vendor risk, and data classification.
  • Implement technical controls such as SSO and MFA enforcement, credential management, endpoint protection, MDM, logging, and auditing.
  • Own customer security questionnaire responses and act as the senior point of contact for customer security reviews.
  • Own the laptop and device fleet: procurement, imaging, MDM, encryption, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Own identity and access management, including joiner/mover/leaver processes, automated provisioning, and access reviews.
  • Evaluate and deploy hardware security keys, endpoint protection, and application control tooling.
  • Own SSO, provisioning, license management, and security configuration across Rhoda's SaaS stack.
  • Partner with functional owners on day-to-day application administration while retaining ownership of security posture and access governance.
  • Build and maintain the IT roadmap aligned with company growth, facilities expansion, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage IT and security vendors, MSPs, and contractors, holding them accountable to SLAs and contractual commitments.
  • Own the IT budget.
