About The Position

JARS Cannabis is seeking an IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day IT operations for their corporate office and retail locations. This role focuses on infrastructure projects, system standardization, and vendor management, rather than day-to-day ticket resolution, as an IT Technician handles tier-1 support. The IT Manager will supervise the IT Technician and be the operational owner of all company IT systems. JARS Cannabis emphasizes a progressive, culturally inspired approach, aiming to empower industry leaders and create an inclusive workplace that celebrates creativity, community, and collaboration.

  • Experience administering business networks, including switching, routing, wireless, and firewalls.
  • Comfortable managing vendors, contracts, renewals, and procurement.
  • Experience writing technical SOPs and operational documentation.
  • Strong project management skills - able to scope, schedule, and deliver multi-site IT projects without daily oversight.
  • Has supervised or mentored at least one direct report.
  • Comfortable supporting distributed retail locations remotely with occasional site visits.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti UniFi at multi-site scale.
  • Working knowledge of SSO and SCIM provisioning between Entra ID and SaaS applications.

  • Background in multi-site retail, hospitality, or a regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with Intune or another MDM platform.
  • Cannabis industry experience (nice to have, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day administration of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including identity, groups, licensing, conditional access, and security policies.
  • Manage the user, device, and access lifecycle across corporate and all retail locations.
  • Maintain SSO and SCIM integrations between Entra ID and business applications, and onboard new systems.
  • Collaborate with the Data and Systems team on identity-driven automation and provisioning.
  • Manage and monitor the company network across all sites, primarily using Ubiquiti for LAN, wireless, and firewalls.
  • Audit network health and security regularly and remediate findings.
  • Source and contract internet service for new retail locations and corporate sites.
  • Manage existing ISP contracts, renewals, and service escalations.
  • Administer the voice platform used in stores, including provisioning, call routing, hardware, and vendor relationships.
  • Manage the corporate cell phone fleet, including carrier relationships, lines, devices, MDM enrollment, and cost control.
  • Purchase computers, peripherals, networking gear, and IT-related equipment for corporate and retail locations.
  • Set hardware standards, maintain an asset inventory, and plan refresh cycles.
  • Negotiate with vendors and resellers, and track IT spend against budget.
  • Supervise the IT Technician, including priorities, coverage, performance, and professional development.
  • Provide tier-2 and tier-3 escalation support and occasional after-hours coverage.
  • Write and maintain SOPs for IT, covering onboarding/offboarding, network changes, incident response, hardware deployment, and vendor management.
  • Identify manual work, standardize it, document it, and automate it where appropriate.
