About The Position

In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values, and mission, this position is responsible for maximizing the overall performance of all computer hardware and software technology being utilized at Assets’ main office and its regional offices/sites. Overall performance includes planning, organizing, and monitoring all activities surrounding Assets information technology. The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the end users’ computers and the Assets network are operational and maintained. Ensures security of information for privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the organization’s information systems, including servers, phone system, and software applications.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 environment, including user administration and security configurations.
  • Coordinate IT communications systems, enabling reliable, secure voice, video, and data communications for hybrid environment.
  • Provide hands-on support and leadership for the I.T. Department.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable data protection laws and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, CARF)
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of new software, systems, and IT projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the company’s systems and networks.
  • Monitors inventory of available hardware devices or computer accessories to assess purchasing needs.
  • Orders equipment as needed for the organization.
  • Prepare and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource allocation.
  • Review and approve technology expenditures, recommending solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and privacy of the organization's data and information systems.
  • Work with third-party vendors to evaluate and implement necessary hardware, software and services.
  • Manage contracts and service agreements with external vendors, ensuring quality of service.
  • Provide technical support for staff and end-users, troubleshooting system issues and providing solutions.
  • Implementation of new software programs and computer technologies that support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours in case of system failures or urgent projects.
  • Travel to other sites as needed.
  • Oversee all desktop technical services and proper management of off-site systems.
  • Advises management of future systems needs and enhancements which will ensure that Assets’ technology remains effective in carrying out its mission.
  • Other duties as assigned by the COO.
