About The Position

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of all IT systems, business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephony systems throughout the hotel/resort. Additionally, you will be responsible for Information Technology issues, products, and services at the property. You will provide user training and support for all property/site systems, network enhancements, hardware, and software. You will also maintain an inventory of all hardware products and software licenses, and review maintenance agreements. A warm personality, attentive and smartly presentable, committed to delivering high levels of customer service, responding courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests and system users, and ensuring cleanliness of all data equipment and computer rooms are key attributes. You must be a self-starter, alert, energetic, responsible, and flexible. You will be responsible for the smooth functioning and coordination of vendors for Guest Internet, Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), IPTV, Telephony systems, and other software vendors. You will have the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and be responsible for overseeing and handling network configuration, Servers, Workstations, Networking equipment, PABX, email accounts, and support for the underlying server/desktop infrastructure. You should be capable of performing Root Cause Analysis on problems, and possess knowledge of network fundamentals, general network setup, and device configuration. Good knowledge of server hardware, Disk storage technology, and I/O devices is required. You should be skilled in the usage of system-level profiling tools and network monitoring systems to aid in application performance profiling (iostat, Nagios). Knowledge of network infrastructure, including CAT5/6 cabling, wireless networks, network switches, WAN/LAN, domain controller, Active Directory, firewall, and VPN applications is necessary. A background in highly available systems and image capture/management systems, along with extensive knowledge on Active Directory, Management, and Implementations is also required.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
  • Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/information updates, etc.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.

  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle Information Technology issues, products, and services at the property.
  • Provide user training and support of all property/site systems, network enhancements, hardware, and software.
  • Maintain inventory of all hardware products and software licenses, and review maintenance agreements.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all data equipment and computer rooms.
  • Responsible for smooth functioning and co-ordination of vendors for Guest Internet, Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), IPTV, Telephony systems and other software vendors.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
  • Oversee and handle network configuration, Servers, Workstations, Networking equipment, PABX, email accounts, and support for the underlying server/desktop infrastructure.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis on problems.
  • Prepare & Implement Preventive Maintenance Schedule for all IT hardware & Software.
  • Manage leadership in the establishment of project scope, technical strategy, cost, budget, and staff support requirements with new IT initiatives.
  • Prepare Policy & Procedures for the IT Department and for the user departments.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery Process and ensuring regular daily backup is taken.
  • Perform Anti virus setup and day to day support.
  • Plan, assign and take reports from the IT team.
  • Identify and implement solutions to user challenges and concerns associated with the use of personal computer equipment.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures relating to PCI compliance are updated.
  • Maintain a system error / progress log book and deal with reported problems.
  • Ensure that IT Audit points are implemented as per relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain proper inventory of hardware and software licenses.
  • Ensure implementation of IT Security Policies through regular staff training.
  • Keep updated with the latest hotel technology and security risks on a regular basis.
  • Perform other IT or Systems related tasks assigned by the management.
