About The Position

The IT Manager II - Security Infrastructure is responsible for protecting enterprise endpoints, data, and workloads from security threats and data loss. This role owns the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of endpoint protection, data loss prevention, firewall security controls, and vulnerability remediation. The manager ensures consistent security policy enforcement, measurable risk reduction, and audit readiness across these areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure environments and leading multiple technical teams.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following: Server management, networking, security, storage systems, and/or data center operations; Network protocols, firewall management, and security best practices; Cloud computing platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments; Virtualization technologies and/or disaster recovery planning; Management of End User Services technologies; ITSM processes and procedures; Monitoring, observability, and/or event management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple teams of IT professionals, including network engineers, systems administrators, and operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop team capabilities through mentoring, training, and performance management
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute the infrastructure and operations strategy, aligning it with the organization’s broader IT and business objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of infrastructure strategies that support the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of all infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers.
  • Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of IT systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, processes, and procedures for IT operations, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Ensure that all systems and operations are compliant with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and support to teams, particularly in solving complex technical challenges.
  • Lead complex infrastructure projects, from planning and design through to implementation and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements, ensuring that third-party services meet company standards.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of robust security protocols to protect IT systems and data.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Lead the response to infrastructure security-related incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, hardware, and software, to meet the organization’s needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on system performance, project status, and team productivity to senior leadership.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for future infrastructure investments and improvements.
  • Own enterprise endpoint and data security strategy, roadmap, and daily operations.
  • Own firewall strategy roadmap, and daily operations. including policy management, segmentation, and threat prevention
  • Manage endpoint security platforms including EDR, endpoint privilege management, and device controls.
  • Own data loss prevention capabilities across endpoint, SaaS, and email channels.
  • Lead vulnerability remediation coordination in partnership with infrastructure and application teams.
  • Define and enforce security standards aligned to Zero Trust and SASE architectures.
  • Establish and track security KPIs, dashboards, and risk metrics.
