The Data & Analytics Division of King County Information Technology (KCIT) is seeking an IT Manager - Data Integration for Applications to lead a group of motivated and experienced data engineers. They work on large enterprise projects, smaller enhancement requests, and provide operational support for what they build. We are looking for a leader to provide staff mentoring, daily leadership, and technical direction to the team. We have some exciting projects and efforts that this position will be leading and/or participating in. This leader will be called upon to drive technology innovation to meet increasing customer expectations while at the same time ensuring that production systems are stable and operating as efficiently as possible. It is critical that this person has a strong technical aptitude along with strong leadership skills. The qualified candidate steadfastly pushes themselves and others for results, bringing out the best in people. They are an effective communicator and people builder able to foster open dialogue among team members and create a climate where people want to do their best. This IT Manager must be dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers , knowing how to get things done both through formal and informal channels. They must spend their time and the time of others on what is important, anticipating and adjusting for problems and roadblocks .
