About The Position

The IT Lead will oversee and manage the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure IT operations. This role involves implementing technology solutions that align with the nonprofit’s mission, supporting staff with IT needs, and managing cybersecurity, data systems, and digital tools. The IT Lead will also oversee vendors, IT budgets, and policies to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
  • Experience with nonprofit software tools (CRM, fundraising platforms, database management).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong communication and training abilities to support non-technical staff.
  • Passion for nonprofit work and using technology to drive social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the nonprofit’s goals.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, software, and hardware to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage IT budgets and recommend cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and backup protocols are in place.
  • Monitor and maintain cybersecurity policies to protect sensitive information.
  • Oversee cloud-based systems, servers, and network management.
  • Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Conduct IT training sessions to enhance digital literacy and security awareness.
  • Develop documentation and guides for IT policies and best practices.
  • Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology for program efficiency and outreach.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement tools that support fundraising, communications, and service delivery.
