About The Position

The Recorder’s Office IT Intern is a short-term position designed to provide hands-on experience to a degree-seeking student. The IT Intern will support project coordination, business analysis, and quality assurance activities within a government office. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the intern will support key technology initiatives that enhance efficiency and innovation within the office. About Us The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office (MCRO) is responsible for maintaining the Maricopa County voter registration records and for administering over elections in partnership with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. The MCRO also maintains the permanent public record of over 50 million documents dating back to 1871, including deeds, plat maps, and a variety of other important documents. Our office serves over 2.5 million registered voters as well as 4.4 million residents across Maricopa County. The MCRO offers a friendly, welcoming, and collaborative environment with opportunities to grow and develop new skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be currently pursuing a degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring project timelines, milestones, and deliverables in support of departmental initiatives
  • Support business analysis activities, including research, data collection, and documentation of processes and requirements
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions aligned with agency goals
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare reports, briefing materials, and meeting summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program and operational objectives
  • Other projects and duties assigned as needed
