About The Position

At Clancy & Theys Construction Company, technology is a critical part of how we plan, build, communicate, and get the job done. As an IT Intern in our Built to Lead Internship Program, you’ll get hands-on experience in a corporate IT environment while supporting the people, technology, and systems that keep our company moving. You’ll work alongside our IT team, troubleshoot real-world technology challenges, support employees across the organization, and get a firsthand look at how technology connects the office, the jobsite, and everything in between.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and AI technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, systems, and business processes.
  • A willingness to ask questions, solve problems, and figure things out.

Nice To Haves

  • Students pursuing degrees in areas such as: Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Network Administration, Software Development, Data Analytics, Or another related field.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, deploy, and troubleshoot laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other technology.
  • Assist with user account creation, access requests, and other IT onboarding activities.
  • Support Clancy & Theys-specific applications and business systems.
  • Help maintain accurate hardware and software inventories.
  • Document IT procedures, knowledge articles, and support solutions.
  • Assist with technology projects, system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Support jobsite and conference room technology, including audio/visual equipment.
  • Help troubleshoot day-to-day technology issues and provide friendly, responsive support to employees.
  • Follow company cybersecurity policies and best practices while helping promote secure technology practices.
  • Explore how emerging technologies - including AI - can improve the way we work.
