About The Position

Cintas is seeking an IT Intern to join its IT Security – Governance, Risk, & Compliance team. The intern will work with the team to learn about Cintas security controls and Governance, Risk, and Compliance activities, and help build and mature these practices within a Fortune 500 company. The position provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to collaborate with peers to research, propose, and implement solutions to current security challenges and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree program in computer science, information systems, or another IT-related field.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in engineering, information systems, and related technical support.
• Basic understanding of IT security practices or the application development process.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Analyze compliance of IT security controls, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Assess deployed tools and processes for posture improvement.
• Learn, understand, and apply industry standards and best practices.
• Assist with organizational maturity assessments and initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external IT resources to reduce cyber vulnerabilities.
• Support security reviews of existing and proposed systems.
• Work with and present to multiple levels of management.
• Collaborate with peers to research, propose, and implement solutions to security challenges and audit requirements.
