About The Position

ONE Gas is seeking motivated and high-performing students for a paid Summer 2027 internship with its IT team. The hybrid internship combines in-office and remote work and provides hands-on exposure to IT functions, processes, and corporate operations. Interns will work on projects, collaborate with professionals across departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership. The projected internship dates are June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027, at 40 hours per week. There are 4–7 positions available. Housing assistance may be available depending on the assignment location in relation to the intern’s college or primary residence.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles.
• Experience through prior internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an information technology team to learn key aspects of a technology area.
• Complete one or more projects within the team’s responsibilities and present findings at the conclusion of the internship.
• Shadow employees in multiple IT-related roles and learn about IT processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with a business group, analyze requirements or data, explore or prototype solutions, and test and deploy technology, as applicable.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
