About The Position

This role supports global projects and financial governance by maintaining plans, risks, and executive reporting, enabling effective governance cadences and creating SharePoint, dashboards, and automation to reduce manual effort. It also supports FinOps by analyzing cloud spend, tracking savings and forecasts, and connecting technical activity to financial impact.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution in a relevant field (Business, Management, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline).
  • Working knowledge or hands on experience with SharePoint and creating or supporting workflows and dashboards.
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills.
  • Exposure to AWS, FinOps concepts, cloud billing or cost optimization.
  • Agile/Scrum/PMO methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be a rising junior or senior.
  • Ability to work onsite at our Nutley, NJ office three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday).

Responsibilities

  • Support program and project managers in maintaining project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), action trackers, and executive-level status reports.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly governance cadence, including status consolidation across multiple workstreams and preparation of SteerCo / leadership-ready summaries.
  • Track deliverables versus plan and highlight schedule or scope risks early.
  • Support documentation of processes, RACI models, and operating procedures.
  • Design and maintain SharePoint solutions to support project and financial governance, including SharePoint Lists for project, action, and cost trackers.
  • Automate workflows (Power Automate or equivalent) for status updates, approvals, notifications, and reminders.
  • Create visual dashboards using SharePoint views, Power BI (preferred), or Excel integrations.
  • Improve data quality and efficiency by reducing manual tracking and reporting and automating repetitive governance tasks.
  • Ensure dashboards are executive-friendly and aligned to KPIs used by leadership.
  • Assist FinOps leads with cloud cost analysis (AWS/Azure), spend trend analysis (actuals vs forecast), and cost allocation, showback, and chargeback data validation.
  • Help maintain optimization & savings trackers, including savings initiatives, forecast accuracy, and cloud commitment utilization (e.g., Savings Plans / RIs).
  • Support preparation of financial insights for IT and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and finance to understand cost drivers behind technical decisions.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data from cloud dashboards (e.g., Cost Explorer, CUDOS-type reports), Excel, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
  • Help automate status reports, cost summaries, and repetitive tracking mechanisms where feasible.
  • Apply analytical thinking to connect technical activity to financial impact.
