Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant professional experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise integration architecture or development.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations.
  • Strong expertise in: Integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, etc.) API design and management (REST/SOAP) Data formats (XML, JSON, XSLT)
  • Experience designing scalable, secure integration solutions in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS and/or Financial systems integration.
  • Workday certifications (Studio, Integration, or related areas).
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) and data security best practices.
  • Experience integrating Workday with third-party systems (e.g., payroll providers, benefits vendors, ERP systems).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integrations.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to operate with little supervision in fast paced and complex environments.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the enterprise integration architecture with a strong emphasis on Workday.
  • Establish integration patterns, standards, and best practices (APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, etc.).
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align integration strategy with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance integration capabilities.
  • Design and oversee Workday integrations using technologies such as: Workday Studio Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs) Core Connectors (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Financials)
  • Lead integration efforts across Workday modules (HCM, Financials, Payroll, Recruiting, etc.).
  • Ensure data consistency, security, and compliance across all Workday integrations.
  • Collaborate with developers and vendors to implement integration solutions.
  • Provide hands-on guidance in building, testing, and deploying integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Oversee data transformations, mappings, and orchestration workflows.
  • Define integration governance, including documentation standards and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure integrations comply with security policies, data privacy regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Manage versioning, monitoring, and alerting strategies for integrations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Workday integrations across the organization.
  • Mentor integration developers and engineers.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Security, and external partners.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
