About The Position

At Hollywood Park, our primary objective for this internship program is to foster emerging talent while developing future leaders of the sports and entertainment industry. This is a paid opportunity for undergraduate juniors, seniors, recent graduates, or master’s degree students who share our passion for creating extraordinary experiences. Interns will work with specific departments at our offices in Inglewood, CA and immerse themselves in a behind-the-scenes experience. By participating in this program, individuals will gain knowledge of the business, establish meaningful connections, and explore exciting career opportunities. Data and Applications will play a crucial role in supporting the Hollywood Park IT teams. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, application development, and systems integration within a dynamic sports and entertainment environment. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in technology and data, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program as a junior, senior, recently graduated, or master’s degree student
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar area of study
  • Must be able to travel to the YouTube Theater and SoFi Stadium offices in Inglewood, CA at least 2-3 times per week

  • Experience in Python, JavaScript, and basic understanding of database and SQL (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Experiment with Google Gemini AI to build internal tools.
  • Assist in cleaning raw data from venue systems and vendors using internal tools to transform into organized datasets.
  • Utilize reporting tools to analyze our data warehouse and generate insights for internal teams.
  • Support the seamless integration of various systems and platforms.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to application performance and data integration.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather project requirements and provide support
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
