About The Position

NaphCare is hiring an IT Infrastructure Technician on-site at our Corporate Headquarters located in Birmingham, AL. The Infrastructure Technician will support the deployment, maintenance, and ongoing operation of technology systems across a nationwide network of sites. This role combines hands-on field work, end-user support, infrastructure deployments and project coordination to ensure reliable technology services for our users and facilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical support role, ideally in a networked environment
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and common software applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Experience assessing network needs and documenting detailed connectivity requirements
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed or otherwise be in the office 5 days a week, operate company vehicles and lift/transport IT equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Configure and install desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and associated peripherals. Ensure all related software is properly set up and functioning
  • Provide technical support for desktop computers, printers, and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Perform walkthroughs and assess network needs to provide connectivity to devices in a given area, and document these needs in detail. Assist in configuring and troubleshooting network connections for all devices
  • Document each new project and support case thoroughly in our helpdesk ticketing system. Annotate all updates and resolutions to ensure accurate and complete records
  • Coordinate with Naphcare staff, site staff from various departments, and vendors to ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all parties involved in projects to facilitate smooth operations and effective troubleshooting in the future
  • Work effectively within a team environment and alongside other teams to ensure cohesive support and project execution
  • Ability to manage individual tasks and move projects towards known goals with minimal supervision in a team-based, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Travel frequently to support on-site needs and projects, often multiple days per week primarily in the Southeast.
