The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the leadership, administration, and continuous improvement of the Recorder's Office enterprise infrastructure and technical support operations. This position oversees the Systems Administration and Help Desk teams and is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, security, and support of the County's server infrastructure, storage systems, virtualization platforms, Kubernetes environment, backup and disaster recovery solutions, network-connected systems, and end-user computing devices. The IT Infrastructure Manager ensures the availability, reliability, performance, and security of technology systems that support the Recorder's statutory responsibilities, including critical election infrastructure. This position plans and coordinates infrastructure projects, system upgrades, technology refreshes, and equipment lifecycle management, working closely with the Application Development team to ensure that infrastructure platforms effectively support enterprise applications and software deployments. The Infrastructure Manager develops operational standards, monitors service delivery and performance metrics, leads disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives, evaluates emerging technologies, and provides technical leadership to ensure secure, resilient, and scalable technology services. This position is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating projects, managing vendors, planning budgets, and maintaining compliance with County, State, and Federal policies, standards, and regulations.
